Bosch 4000 gas boiler with 10 year guarantee

The Bosch 4000 — supplied with a 10 year guarantee

The 4000 is Bosch's modern replacement for the long-running Greenstar i range. It is a premium unit with a clean, simple control dial and a reputation for reliability that is a large part of why people ask for Worcester by name.

  • Excellent energy efficiency
  • Premium build and a compact cabinet
  • Simple, clear control interface
  • Quiet in operation
  • 10 year manufacturer guarantee

About the 10 year guarantee

The Bosch 4000 comes with a 10 year manufacturer guarantee. We register it for you when we install it, so the cover starts properly from day one.

As with every manufacturer, the guarantee only stays valid if the boiler is serviced every year by a registered gas installer. We complete the service record each time, so the paperwork is there if you ever need to claim.

Which size will you need?

A typical 2–3 bedroom house with one bathroom is usually well served by the 15kW, which is what the guideline price is based on. Larger homes, or houses with more than one bathroom, generally need more output. We size it properly during the free assessment — an oversized boiler costs more to buy and more to run.

Start to finish

What is involved in your boiler replacement

We take care of the whole job, including getting rid of the old boiler properly. You do not need to arrange anything yourself.

1

Free assessment

We come out, look at your existing system, your pipework and where the boiler sits, and confirm what your home actually needs — not just a like-for-like swap if that would be the wrong answer.

2

A written price

You get a clear price before anything is ordered, with anything unusual about your property already accounted for. No surprises once we start.

3

Old boiler removed safely

The gas supply is isolated, the system drained down, and the old boiler disconnected and taken out. We protect the area we are working in.

4

Disposed of responsibly

We take the old unit away with us and dispose of it properly. Old boilers contain metals and components that should not go in a skip.

5

Worcester Bosch 4000 installed

Fitted by our own RGI registered engineers, with any pipework, valves or flue work needed to do the job correctly.

6

Protected, tested and certified

The system is refilled with inhibitor added to protect it against corrosion and sludge, then vented, fired and fully tested. You get full RGI certification, and all work is carried out in accordance with Irish Standard I.S. 813.

We also show you how it works

Before we leave, we will run through the controls with you so you are not left guessing — how to set the timer, what the pressure gauge should read, and what to do if it ever drops.

What can change the price

The guideline figure covers a straightforward replacement in a typical 2–3 bedroom house. What moves it up or down is usually the state of what is already there, and what is needed to bring the installation up to standard:

  • Moving the boiler to a different position
  • Flue routing and length
  • Condensate drainage
  • Upgrading old or undersized gas pipework
  • Ventilation work to meet I.S. 813
  • Earth bonding upgrade
  • Carbon monoxide alarms
  • New heating controls
  • A power flush if the system is heavily sludged
  • Changing boiler type, for example system to combi

None of that gets sprung on you afterwards. We look at all of it during the free assessment, and it is in the written price before you decide.
